I believe every body and everybody's needs are different. Therefore, I strive to provide a customized massage to each client. Let me help guide you to better health.
In 2002, I took a semester off from college and visited my family in France. I realized as the years had passed, my great-grandmother's wellness had deteriorated. I vowed to her that I would go back to school for massage therapy and move to France to help take care of her and her pain.
In May 2004, I began my massage career at an AVEDA salon called, City Looks Salon & Spa, in Cedar Rapids. It took hard work and determination for me to become the lead therapist and head massage educator. Still, my learning continues and always will, because I love my profession and continuing education! I have been educated around the U.S. by some of the very best in the massage industry. I enjoy getting to know each client and being a part of their healthcare. My clients inspire me to be the best massage therapist I can be.
Some of my career accomplishments include: two years of massage on the road for RAGBRAI, volunteering free chair massages for Go Red for Women of the American Heart Association for two of their annual events, and building a strong spa team at City Looks and being a mentor. I was selected to take part in an exclusive sports training program in Boca Raton, Florida that allowed me to work on NFL athletes, UFC fighters, and other professional athletes. I was also very happy to work with a sports medicine team in Indianapolis for the 2017 NFL Combine. My career goals are to educate the public on the therapeutic benefits of massage, to always improve my skills, and to one day work at the Olympics.
Although I do love massage therapy, my other passion is cooking. I also love traveling the world and exploring different cultures, when I have the time. My family and Tai dam heritage are also very important to me, because both have impacted my life and created the person I am today.
My massages are a unique combination of:
